Axis Leaders Present on Care Barriers & Cutting-Edge Technologies at Autism Society of Greater Phoenix’s Global Autism Conference

Aiming to empower the Arizona autism community with knowledge and resources, the Autism Society of Greater Phoenix invited Axis for Autism’s Clinical Director Morgan Hall, PhD and Advisor Alan Pitt, MD to educate attendees about gender barriers to diagnosis and technologies that benefit all patients at its Global Autism Conference.

Morgan and Alan were among 50 experts who addressed a variety of autism-related topics in sessions for professionals, educators, therapists, autistic adults and caregivers of autistic children from around Arizona.

In “Diagnosis and Treatment for Girls and Women with Autism,” Morgan discussed the factors that contribute to misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis of girls and outlined promising behavioral health treatment modalities for overall wellbeing.

Alan’s “How Technologies Can Help with the Diagnosis and Treatment of Autism” presentation focused on asynchronous diagnostic testing, personal health records, telehealth and artificial intelligence that benefit patients as well as payers and providers.

With a network of specialized psychologists using groundbreaking technology, Axis for Autism delivers gold-standard evaluations at locations in Phoenix, Glendale and Tucson.
