Christie Dunkelberger

Christie joins Axis for Autism as Vice President of Marketing & Client Engagement, bringing more than a decade of healthcare sales, business development, and marketing experience to the organization. Prior to joining Axis, Christie served as Regional Director of Business Development at Summit Behavioral Healthcare, where she led the West Coast business development team and collaborated closely with executive leadership, clinical teams, and operational departments to support quality care, strengthen referral partnerships, and drive strategic growth initiatives. During her time at Summit, she developed a strong focus on building high-performing team cultures centered around collaboration, transparency, and measurable outcomes. Before her seven years with Summit, Christie worked at Universal Health Services (UHS) supporting the Arizona market during the organization’s acquisition of Foundations Recovery Network.

Christie attended Arizona State University, where she pursued graduate studies in Social Work. She is guided by a deep commitment to mission, integrity, and quality of care, and considers it a privilege to play a supporting role in connecting families with life-changing resources. As a mother of two sons, including one diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Christie brings both professional expertise and lived understanding to the challenges families face when navigating early intervention, diagnosis, and access to specialized care. She is proud to join Axis in its commitment to providing accessible, compassionate, and clinically excellent autism care across Arizona.
